Artist: Judy Williams

Several years ago, a co-worker told me that she always tried to provide a beautiful place for the eye to rest from each seating area in her house. Many times since, I have acknowledged that a beautiful place for my eyes to rest in my home or office calms me during a busy day. My work fulfils this desire for a beautiful place, calm and serene.

I usually choose plant forms for subjects and fiber for my medium.
Currently I am working in a technique derived from batik and watercolor with a little printmaking added. I work primarily on cotton fabric when I want soft colors and silk when I want intense colors.

Most of my work is intended to be wall hung or used as fabric for pillows, tablecloths, or other accessories.
