Naomi Schar
Naomi Schar was born and raised in South Dakota.
Her love of beading started 55 years ago, when she
was taught bead weaving by a Sioux Indian and
she has been bead weaving since then. Naomi has
a love for all crafts and arts. She has tried many,
including knitting, crocheting, ceramics, doll making,
weaving and recently, quilting and painting.
Naomi teaches a bead weaving class at the Fly
Cultural Arts Building on Wednesdays at 3:30 P.M.
Samples of Naomi's work have been exhibited this
year at the Fly and at the Arts Center in Fayetteville,
TN, where these photos were made. Her talent and
contribution to the arts through the Bedford County
Arts Council is noteworthy in its quality and variety.
