      The Bedford County Arts Council is a group of individuals who are dedicated to the encouragement and development of the cultural and creative arts in Bedford County for the benefit of the general public. The organization was formed in 1978 with the purpose to encourage participation in, appreciation of, and education in the arts and to support the activities of groups engaged in the presentation, promotion or teaching of any of the cultural and creative arts in Bedford County.

     The group recognizes the need in our community for programs where all ages can develop and explore their creative and artistic abilities. For our community's youth, we offer a positive alternative, with activities that will promote growth and self-esteem.
      Please join us in an effort to bring creative arts to Bedford County. Become a member of The Arts Council. Together we can offer alternatives to our children and make a positive contribution to our community.

SOCIAL. Help to plan, decorate and execute social activites for The Arts Council.
PUBLIC RELATIONS. Provide publicity through media, fliers, newsletters, etc.
PROGRAM. Speak to civic and social groups about The Ats Council.
SCRAPBOOK. Clip newspaper, etc, and keep an updated scrapbook of Arts Council activities.
VOLUNTEER. Assist with Arts Council programs or activities as needed.
